Character
Who dances it: Everyone
A dance of the Greeks of Northern Thrace (Eastern Rumelia) that, as its name says ('zerva', left), moves to the left, against the direction of most Greek dances. Refugees who settled in Macedonia and Thrace brought it with them, and there are local forms such as the zervos of Bania. It is unrelated to the Karpathos dance of the same name.
