Character

Who dances it: Everyone

The dance of the "rougatsiaria", the groups who go round the villages of the Thessalian plain, such as Farsala, Pedino in Karditsa and Tyrnavos, over the Twelve Days and on Epiphany. It is a leaping dance without a hold, with six steps like the first ones of the kalamatianos, and dancers improvise freely.
