Who dances it: Everyone
A dance of the Greeks of Cappadocia that associations link to Gelveri (Karvali, today Güzelyurt), birthplace of Gregory of Nazianzus. Today it is danced mainly by descendants of the Gelveri community in Nea Karvali near Kavala and by Cappadocian associations in Macedonia. Written sources on its steps and meter are scarce.
